Fabric Collage – 2024 CA Deaf Quilting Retreat Drop & Sew Files

I love quilt retreats that put me into community with likeminded quilters who are encouraging, curious, kind and low drama. While this can’t be said for every retreat I’ve attended, it’s definitely true of the annual California Deaf Quilting Retreat. I’m grateful to have been invited to join the group a few years ago, and thrilled to be leading this year’s “Drop & Sew” activity along with Debbie Call.

I’ll polish this up and refilm the videos at some point, but for now here are links to the project that were the best I had in me at the time they were made ;).

A fabric collage of a coffee cup is pictured with a bright red background. The mug is a white coffee mug with latte art (a heart) on the top. In the background is stitching intended to look like woodgrain planks of a table.

A small teal collage is pictured against some pavers. A topographical map of California is pictured in greens and browns. In purple cursive, "California" is across the top and three orange poppies are at the bottom of the collage.
